When I was finally ready to make my first phone call to a state legislator (after Mike from Wolf PAC showed me exactly what to do), I was excited, prepared, and honestly a little nervous. I’d never called my state legislators before I signed up to volunteer with Wolf PAC, so I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect.
But here’s what I found waiting for me on the other end of the phone line: a pretty common-sense, everyday American who was willing to meet with me and hear more about our plan to get money out of politics. At first, he thought he’d heard every plan under the sun, but when I told him what we’re doing with Wolf PAC, he simply replied: “Impressive.”
I have to say that it was a really cool experience, and I recommend that you call your own state legislators today in order to share that feeling you get when you become an active citizen. Here are 3 reason why:
1. Empowerment: When I first called my state representative, it revived my confidence in change. As Cenk likes to say, “Democracy is still alive at the state level,” and it’s good to know there’s at least some folks in government who are still listening to We the People. Taking action makes you feel like you have a voice again!
2. Make New Friends: In my home state, we’ve got a great team of volunteers working together to restore democracy in America, and there are probably some really cool volunteers in your state as well. Who knows – you may even become friends with some state legislators too!
3. Restore Our Democracy: This is what it’s all about – the bottom line is an amendment to the Constitution to fix our representative democracy. Those who fight for free and fair elections today will be called patriots by future generations. Let’s make some history!
In some states, it has only taken one person to step up and make the difference for our efforts, such as Carol in Iowa and Deezle in Illinois, who both single-handedly found legislators to introduce our resolution. Can you be one of the people to step up in your state and start volunteering today?
If YES, click here to see our "Volunteer Toolbox". (or send Mike an email at mike@wolf-pac.com).
If NO, you just can’t be bothered to lift a finger to save the republic, then click here.

Calling state legislators is super easy and there’s a bunch of scripts, tips, and tricks that will help you know what to say. The leader in your state will be happy to help you practice what to say, so make sure to connect with them and other volunteers in your state. It’s fun to work with other folks who care about fixing our democracy for future generations.
So, if you haven’t done so already, make sure to start taking action with Wolf PAC today and help to fix our representative democracy. Thanks!
Sincerely,
Alison Hartson
