Treasurys rise ahead of home prices, confidence
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Treasurys turned higher Tuesday ahead of the release of home price and consumer confidence data. The S&P Case-Shiller home-price index comes out at 9 a.m. Eastern and the Conference Board's consumer confidence index comes out at 10 a.m. The 10-year Treasury note yield, which moves inversely to price, fell 3 basis point to 2.579%, while the the 30-year bond yield fell 2.5 basis points to 3.649%. The 5-year note yield fell 1.5 basis points to 1.372%.
