Home-builder stocks rise after pending sales data SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Home-builder stocks were in mostly positive territory, after losing ground last week, following data Monday showing a slight drop in June pending home sales. While the SPDR S&P Homebuilders ETF was down 0.1% and the iShares U.S. Home Construction ETF was up 0.2%, shares of Toll Brothers Inc. were up 0.5%, PulteGroup Inc. advanced 1.5%, and D.R. Horton Inc. rose 2.9%. Shares of Lennar Corp. , however, fell 0.1%. Home-builder stocks were slammed last week following a spate of quarterly earnings showing that orders and deliveries fell short of Wall Street estimates as interest rates spiked.
