MONTREAL – The Liberal Party of Canada launched a new Facebook campaign today. The French-language song PUCAPAB is a cry from the heart of all those who have had enough of Stephen Harper and his government.
The song and the video were unveiled this morning at the Ex-Centris Theatre by Denis Coderre, Liberal MP for Bourassa.
“I hear it everywhere I go. We’ve had enough of Stephen Harper and his Conservative government. As we say in Quebec when we’re really fed up, we’re pu’ capab,” said Mr. Coderre. “His priorities have nothing to do with us: billions for stealth fighters and American-style mega-prisons, yet nothing for families. His government prefers to give tax breaks to the largest corporations in a time of record deficit. And he still refuses to address the issue of climate change.”
Citizens are invited to visit facebook.com/pucapab to check out the video, join the PUCAPAB campaign and support this initiative. They can also learn more about Harper’s deplorable record after five years in power.
“We’re using Facebook and social media to deliver our message directly to those who feel particularly uncomfortable about the Harper government,” added Justin Trudeau, MP for Papineau.
The principal platform for the PUCAPAB campaign is facebook.com/pucapab.
The PUCAPAB video is also available at lpc.ca/pucapab and can be downloaded at lpc.ca/videopucapab.
The PUCAPAB song can be downloaded at lpc.ca/chanson.
The PUCAPAB poster can be downloaded at lpc.ca/affichage.
