Mission Accomplished??!! UMM DONT THINK SO.
Dear America,
One year ago, on the deck of the USS Lincoln, under a banner reading "Mission Accomplished," President Bush told America that "major combat operations in Iraq have ended."
In April 2004, more U.S. soldiers died in Iraq than during the entire period that Bush considered "major combat."
We now know that President Bush misled the American people in the run up to war. We know that he had no plan for post-war Iraq. We know that, thanks to the arrogance and incompetence of this administration, our mission is not accomplished.

President Bush: The Wrong Choice for National Security
This week, President Bush and Vice President Cheney testified together before the September 11 commission. There was no recording or official transcript of the meeting.
Why did President Bush insist on appearing only with Cheney by his side? Bush has repeatedly refused to answer that question, both before and after his testimony.
But maybe we should be thankful that Bush agreed to speak to the commission at all.
Although the goal of the commission is to learn the best ways to keep Americans safe from future terrorist attacks, Bush has done everything in his power to block their work, whether it was opposing the creation of the commission in the first place, withholding important documents, or trying to block the commission from extending its deadline so that it could complete its work.
The American people's overwhelming support of the commission's work has kept President Bush from succeeding in his attempts to block its efforts. But make no mistake: Bush's actions are making America less safe.
But why should we be surprised? President Bush has always used national security for political purposes, whether it's declassifying information to attack his critics, tying the attacks of September 11 to his entire domestic agenda, or misleading the country as he led us into war.
The truth is clear: America cannot trust President Bush to keep us secure.
Take Action
President Bush refuses to answer the simple question:
Why did you insist on having Vice President Cheney in the room with you when you testified before the September 11 commission?
