He warned against the dangers of a potential collapse of the Palestinian Authority that he said would threaten the security of both Israelis and Palestinians and urged both sides to recommit to a two-state solution. Secretary Kerry also discussed other regional issues including the fight against *ISIL, the Syrian civil war and refugee crisis, and the Iran nuclear agreement. Following his remarks, he sat down and answered questions by Brookings Executive Vice President Martin Indyk who served as U.S. ambassador to Israel during the Clinton administration and was President Obama's special envoy for Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.
