U.S. house prices rise 0.6% in July, FHFA says
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- U.S. house prices rose a seasonally adjusted 0.6% in July, the Federal Housing Finance Agency reported Tuesday. That takes the year-over-year gain was 5.8%. Over 12 months, every region was positive, led by the 9.4% rise in the Mountain region, which comprises Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. The weakest gain was the 2.1% advance in New England, which is Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
