You can refinance almost any kind of debt in American life -- mortgages, car loans, business loans -- but if you want to refinance your student loans, you’re out of luck. There’s no good reason for that to be the case. But that’s how it is. And for student borrowers, that’s a real problem. We need to reform our student loan system, and that’s why Senator Elizabeth Warren and I are reintroducing our plan to help students and graduates cut down on their student loan debt. Make your voice heard on this by clicking here and adding your name. For young people pursuing a college education these days, student loans are non-negotiable. If kids can’t afford tuition, they can’t get a degree. If they can’t get a degree, their chances of getting a good job and making a middle-class living drop dramatically. Student loans shouldn’t be a partisan issue. This debate should be about the half a million Minnesotan borrowers and the 40 million Americans who have student loan debt. Approximately 25 million people would be eligible to refinance their debt under this plan. This is something every Senator should be able to support. Students and graduates should be able to refinance their loans. Join me and demand that Congress reform our student loan system. action.alfranken.com/page/m/6cf7fb0/717df830/12bd5506/7813267c/2221145840/VEsE/ Thanks, Al
