Friend -- If you look at the final tally on raising the minimum wage in the Senate last week, you might wonder why Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid actually switched his vote to a "No." That wasn't an accident or a sudden change of mind. Even though he's championed the issue, Sen. Reid cast a "No" vote so that, under Senate rules, he could bring up the bill again at a later time. It's his way of saying he's not backing down on this issue. OFA supporters aren't either -- sign our petition to lawmakers and say it's time to raise the minimum wage. It's pretty remarkable that a minority of senators successfully blocked a proposal that more than seven in 10 Americans would support. It's OK if that bothers you -- it sure as hell frustrates me. The difference between cynicism and activism is what you do with that frustration. It's why OFA stands for Organizing for Action. So let's make our voices heard -- sign the petition to raise the minimum wage today: my.barackobama.com/Raise-the-Wage-Petition Thanks, Lindsay Lindsay Siler National Director of Issue Campaigns Organizing for Action
