WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- President Barack Obama announced Thursday that enrollment in public exchanges for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act has now topped the 8 million mark. "This thing is working," Obama said. The president said that he was open to consider legislation to improve the Obamacare law if Republicans were willing to go along. He said he did not expect this to happen until after the fall election. Obama took a wait-and-see stance on an agreement between the U.S., Russia, Ukraine and the European Union to de-escalate the crisis. In a meeting with reporters at the White House, Obama said that he wanted to see "follow-through" on the deal.
