At the end of the 2011 campaign, Jack and I walked into an overflowing community centre.
It was full of new supporters – in Gatineau, a riding we’d never won before – and you could just feel the momentum.
Being back at headquarters, I see the same energy building around Tom Mulcair and our NDP team. But I also know this isn’t 2011.
We can’t run the same campaign we did three years ago and expect to win. And that means everything needs to go to the next level, starting with fundraising.
Can you donate $10 or more today (that’s $2.50 after taxes), ahead of our first major deadline of 2014, so we can build our next big breakthrough?
I’ve worked on a lot of campaigns over the years, but the team of NDP organizers, neighborhood team leaders, volunteers and grassroots fundraisers we’re building all over Canada is something new.
The strategy we need to win is in motion – we’re building an infrastructure today, early, so we can be ready to run full campaigns when it’s time to get out the vote in 2015.
As you know, our success in the last election didn’t happen overnight. This time the stakes are higher, and it’s going to take even more, from everyone, if we want to make history in 2015.
Our work needs to start earlier than ever before.
The next 7 days will set the tone for the next year.
We need you on board today – donate $10 or more now:

Thanks, we couldn’t do this without you.
