The Liberal convention isn't the only thing Conservatives are trying to disrupt these days.
After being the subject of the Elections Canada robocall investigation following the 2011 election, the Conservatives are now trying to legislate voter suppression through their so-called "Fair Elections Act" currently under review in Parliament.
This law has a single objective: stop anyone who is not a Conservative supporter from voting.
Think that sounds crazy? Here are three changes the Bill, if passed, would make law:
-- Elections Canada could no longer be able to advertise to increase voter turnout.
-- No electronic voting pilot projects would be permitted without the majority agreement of both houses of Parliament (ie. including the Senate that will remain in Conservative control well after 2015).
-- Voter identification rules would be changed making it harder to vote, particularly for mobile populations, like students, or people moving for work.
The Harper campaign isn't just using the the $18-million they raised last year to turn Canadians off politics through smears campaigns and TV attack ads.
They're now using the levers of government to create laws that prevent Canadians from casting a ballot, like the Republicans do in the United States.
This Thursday, Justin will deliver a major speech to Canadians. We have a chance to show our fellow citizens there is an alternative to Conservative lies, spin, and juvenile politics.
Chip in $3 -- just 75 cents after your tax credit -- and help us raise $250,000 before he takes the stage tomorrow evening:

And don't forget to tune into Liberal Live starting at 6pm Thursday to watch.
Thank you.
