Annual Youth Parliament Debate (Voting) from C-SPAN Video Library Programs Recently Aired by info@c-spanarchives.org (National Cable Satellite Corporation) Following their debate, students at Great Britain's annual youth Parliament debate voted on which one of five debate topics would be their national campaign. Of the five topics, students voted in favor of making the "curriculum for life skills" issue their national campaign. Every year more than 300 members of Great Britain's youth parliament, ages 11 to 18, gather in the British House of Commons for their annual debate. In 2012, the students debated five topics that would be considered for their national campaign. They discussed public transportation costs, better employment opportunities, marriage equality, an equal national minimum wage, and a curriculum that better prepares students in life skills. www.c-spanvideo.org/program/309601-3
