China to sell soy reserves The latest commodity the government has set its sights on is soy. As part of its effort to curb prices, China has announced it will sell state soy reserves for the first time in two years. In addition to the planned sale of 300,000 tonnes of state reserves, China's top soy growing province, Heilongjiang, in the northeast, will sell 246 thousand tonnes of local soy to crushers.
