A message from the campaign

Members' Update: November 2013
On November 25th, Canadians voted for change. They voted for hopeful, optimistic leadership that represents them and has a vision for the future of their country.
The progress we made in all four by-election ridings wasn't a stroke of luck. Canadians told us that night that they want a better government, not just a different government. They want a government that is focused on them, their future, their communities, and their families.
We elected two new Liberal MPs because of you: your hope, your hard work, and everything you've done for this movement. The thousands of volunteers who were a part of our campaigns showed us that change can happen in 2015.
Our Biennial Convention in Montreal this February will be a great opportunity to hear from our campaign workers who have been tested in these most recent by-elections - and to celebrate the progress we've already achieved together. Make sure you fill out your Notice of Intent to Participate as a Delegate form today so you are able to join us in Montreal!

OUR NEXT BIG MILESTONE: CONVENTION
What better proof that hope and hard work pays off than our recent by-election victories and significant gains in Manitoba. Congratulations to each candidate and to all Liberals involved. This is something to be proud of.
We now turn our focus towards the next big milestone: the Montreal 2014 - Liberal Biennial Convention. This is a significant event because we will be laying the foundation for our 2015 election campaign. Whether your interest is policy or political organization, this convention is pivotal for our Party's direction and preparation for 2015. In order to be eligible as a delegate, you must submit your Notice of Intent to Participate as a Delegate form right away. Please click here to submit your Notice of Intent to Participate as a Delegate form now.
On a final note, we will soon launch our annual December fundraising drive. This will be a very important fundraising campaign as we approach the year-end and will include some new some fun surprises- stay tuned! I hope we can count on your support. Remember, whether you give $5, $50 or $500, every bit helps and you'll receive a tax credit on your donation.
Thank you.

BY-ELECTION RESULTS WE CAN BE PROUD OF
I want you to know how thrilled I am with the results of the recent by-elections. Just look at these numbers. we're the only party that increased its popular vote in these by-election ridings since the 2011 election. And we did so by a whopping 17.5%!
In actual numbers, that's 44,368 Liberal votes compared to 29,102 for the Conservatives and 22,233 for the NDP. The best part is that it happened three months before the Montreal 2014 - Liberal Biennial Convention. This means the special new techniques we tested can be shared with convention delegates in political organizing workshops. There is much to share and learn so we can be ready to take on Mr. Harper and Mr. Mulcair during the national election campaign in 2015.
That's why it's so important you submit your Notice of Intent to Participate as a Delegate form right away so you can be eligible to be a convention delegate. This convention will help set the course for our Party. I have no doubt it will be remembered in our Party's history so make sure you're a part of it.
Thank you.
