J.P. Morgan 'Whale's' Martin-Artajo arrested NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Javier Martin-Artajo, a former J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. employee involved in the so-called London Whale trade, was arrested in Madrid on Tuesday, according to media reports. Martin-Artajo turned himself in to the Spanish authorities and Spain's High Court will take the next step, according to Reuters. He was charged, along with trader Julien Grout, by U.S. prosecutors with four counts of fraud earlier this month for his involvement in the Whale trade that resulted in more than $6 billion in losses for J.P. Morgan.
