IRS Information Technology Contracting by info@c-spanarchives.org (National Cable Satellite Corporation) The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee heard testimony on Internal Revenue Service's contracting practices. The Committee released a report accusing the IRS of improperly awarding contracts worth more than $500 million to the information technology firm Strong Castle because of the CEO's relationship with an IRS contracting official. The IRS targeting of conservative and progressive tax-exempt organizations was also discussed. Greg Roseman, who was accused of improperly influencing the contracting selection process, invoked his Fifth Amendment right and refused to testify.
