The 6th Congressional district of Colorado is located in central Colorado, encompassing much of southern part of the Denver-Aurora Metropolitan Area, including the cities of Littleton, Centennial and portions of Aurora. It is represented in the 111th Congress by Republican Mike Coffman, a former Colorado Secretary of State. George W. Bush received 60% of the vote in this district in 2004.[1]
This strongly Republican district is largely made up of Denver's wealthy southern suburbs. It is Colorado's most affluent district.[1]
