Stocks sweep to record finish as investors cheer positive trade talk
U.S. stocks closed higher, with all three indexes touching new records, as investors took heart in suggestions of a thaw in trade negotiations with China. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed about 190 points higher, or 0.7%. The S&P 500 closed about 23 points, 0.8%, higher. The Nasdaq jumped about 113 points, 1.3%.
