REGISTER NOW FOR NASHVILLE, TN WORKSHOPS!
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency will host an upcoming workshop in Nashville, TN on June 2 - 4, 2014. The Mastering the Basics workshop will be held at the Holiday Inn Nashville - Opryland Hotel.
"Mastering the Basics: A Director’s Challenge" is a three-day workshop designed exclusively for directors of institutions supervised by the OCC and provides practical information on the roles and responsibilities of a community bank director. Taught by seasoned OCC supervision staff, the workshop focuses on directors’ duties and core responsibilities, the regulatory environment, board reports, bank ratings, and the like.
"The workshop covers the key duties and responsibilities of a director and the activities boards may use to meet those responsibilities," said Curt Schuman, Assistant Deputy Comptroller for the Louisville, Ky., office. “We also review the most important laws and risk management systems that an institution must have in place to operate in a safe and sound manner. It’s a great opportunity to learn about techniques and processes from experienced staff as well as the fellow workshop participants.”
Each workshop is available for the nominal fee of $99. Registered participants will receive a pre-course reading package, course materials and assorted supervisory publications. A complimentary lunch will also be provided. Workshops are limited to the first 35 registrants.
