Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel announced today that the president has made the following nomination:
Marine Corps Lieutenant General Jon M. Davis for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and for assignment as deputy commandant for aviation, Headquarters, United States Marine Corps. Davis is currently serving as the deputy commander, U.S. Cyber Command.
Marine Corps Major General Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr. for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and for assignment as commander, United States Marine Corps Forces Central Command. Major General McKenzie is currently serving as the Marine Corps representative to the Quadrennial Defense Review.
Marine Corps Lieutenant General Robert B. Neller for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and for assignment as commander, United States Marine Corps Forces Command; commanding general, Fleet Marine Force Atlantic; commander, United States Marine Corps Bases Atlantic; commander, United States Marine Corps Forces Europe. Neller is currently serving as commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Central Command.
Marine Corps Lieutenant General John A. Toolan, Jr., for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and for assignment as commander, United States Marine Corps Forces Pacific; commanding general, Fleet Marine Forces Pacific; and commander, Marine Corps Bases Pacific. Toolan is currently serving as the commanding general, I Marine Expeditionary Force.
Marine Corps Reserve Colonel Helen G. Pratt for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Pratt is currently serving as the deputy commander, 4th Marine Logistics Group, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Marine Corps Reserve Colonel Patrick J. Hermesmann for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Hermesmann is currently serving as vice chief of staff, Marine Forces Reserve, New Orleans, Louisiana.
