We’re staring down our first fundraising deadline of 2014 – and we’ve got the momentum to make it a big one. Last month, I took part in a National Day of Action as did hundreds of NDP volunteers across the country. The response we got was amazing. One participant said she didn’t normally get involved in politics, but because the NDP is taking action to make life more affordable, she signed up. Days like that – when New Democrats come together to take action – will make all the difference in 2015. But we have to start early. Donate $5, $10 or $20 and become a grassroots donor ahead of Monday’s deadline. Organizing neighbour-to-neighbour is the ground game we need to beat Stephen Harper’s Conservatives riding-by-riding in next year’s election. I’ve seen how it works in my own riding here in Churchill. The earlier we start, the better we do. But this kind of organizing takes a lot of leaflets, canvassing sheets, clipboards, training kits and snacks for our hungry volunteers. And since we don’t get big money from well-connected insiders, we can only do it with the help of grassroots supporters. www.ndp.ca/do-you-have-a-minuteThanks for putting in the work to strengthen our movement.
