CDFI MDI Training Materials Now Available
in Virtual Resource Bank
Today, the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) added new reference materials to its Capacity Building Initiative website in support of the “Preserving and Expanding CDFI Minority Depository Institutions” training series. The Resource Bank supplements the series, which provides comprehensive capacity building services and resources for Community Development Financial Institution Minority Depository Institutions (CDFI MDIs) and is tailored for the unique institutional capacity needs and challenges of the CDFI MDI industry.
The “Preserving and Expanding CDFI Minority Depository Institutions Resource Bank” includes the series’ training materials as well as additional resources and tools for CDFI MDIs looking to increase their capacity to provide community development services to their target markets. The topics covered include: improving financial health, organic capital growth, accessing capital markets, social impact collection and reporting, reducing costs, and strategic planning, among others. In the coming months, the Resource Bank will be expanded to include the series’ webinar materials.
Even though the training series was designed for CDFI MDIs, the Resource Bank is full of valuable information for any CDFI (a bank, credit union, or loan fund, for example), that is facing similar challenges in accessing capital and is looking for tips, strategies, and resources to help improve their financial performance or achieve growth.
To view the Resource Bank, and to learn more about the “Preserving and Expanding CDFI Minority Depository Institutions” training series, as well as the other series available under the Capacity Building Initiative, please visit www.cdfifund.gov/cbi.
