U.S. stocks rebound to 15,912; Caterpillar lifts Dow average 18 hours ago MarketWatch.com - MarketPulse
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stocks edged higher in early trade Monday, rebounding after the worst week for two benchmark indexes in over a year. Caterpillar Inc.'s gain's lifted the Dow Jones Industrial Average and industrials boosted S&P 500 sectors. The Dow rose 25 points, or 0.2%, to 15,912. The S&P 500 added 3 points, or 0.2%, to 1,793. The Nasdaq Composite rose 8 points, or 0.2%, to 4,135. Data on home sales are due at 10 a.m. Eastern. Treasurys fell and gold edged lower, also reversing some of last week's moves.
