Russia-inquiry review expected to undercut Trump's FBI spying claim: report
The Justice Department's inspector general found no evidence that the Federal Bureau of Investigation tried to place undercover agents or informants inside Donald Trump's presidential campaign as agents probed whether his associates conspired with Russia's election-interference operation, the New York Times reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with a draft of the inspector general's report. Trump as recently as Friday has charged that the FBI was "spying on" his campaign. The report from Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz is set for release on Dec. 9.
