Swalwell becomes first Democrat to drop out of presidential race
Democratic presidential hopeful Eric Swalwell on Monday said he was ending his campaign for the party's 2020 nomination. "Today ends our presidential campaign," said the California congressman at a news conference. Reports earlier Monday said he was set to drop out of the race. The Los Angeles Times said he plans to focus on seeking re-election to his House seat. With Swalwell's departure, there are now 24 Democratic presidential hopefuls.
