North, South Korea to work toward 'complete denuclearization' of Korean peninsula: reports
The leaders of South and North Korea have signed a declaration that they will work toward "complete denuclearization" of the Korean peninsula, according to media reports Friday. The pledge of cooperation by North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un and South Korea's President Moon Jae-in followed the first inter-Korean summit in 11 years, according to the Nikkei Asian Review. . The two sides, in what's being called the "Panmunjon Declaration," also agreed to formally end the Korean War with a peace treaty, according to CBS News, which added that talks to end hostilities on the Korean Peninsula would involve trilateral or 4-way talks with the U.S. and China.
